Manassas, Virginia – June 25, 2012 – Lovey Hammel, president and cofounder of Employment Enterprises, Inc. was installed as Chair of the Fairfax Chamber of Commerce for 2012-2013 during the annual Chairman’s Luncheon on June 20 at the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner. The event was attended by more than 650 of the county’s business leaders, who represent companies across many industries.
Immediate Past Chair Adrian Chapman described Hammel as “a very astute and innovative leader.” Accepting the gavel of office from Chapman, Hammel thanked the Past Chairs of the Chamber for their leadership and service. Hammel has been actively involved with the Fairfax Chamber since Employment Enterprises joined in 1991. Over the years, Hammel has championed educational and entrepreneurial programs in the County, and she intends to continue focusing on these key areas as Chair.
“It is our duty as corporate citizens and business leaders to help to cultivate and nurture the future of our region,” Hammel says. “Education is essential to fostering an exceptional business climate and developing the highly skilled and technical workforce of the future our region needs.”
