What is the difference between your service and a payroll company like ADP or PayChex?
The major difference is protection from employer liability. Checks and Balances, Inc. becomes the employer and assumes employer liability. This includes providing our employees with insurances such as crime coverage, errors and omissions, secondary auto coverage and full time employee benefits such as $10,000 of free life insurance, 401k plan access, unemployment insurance, worker’s compensation coverage, etc. Checks and Balances, Inc maintains trained staff to insure that all applicable local, state and federal employment laws are followed. Checks and Balances, Inc also provides Human Resource support for you and the employees. Payroll is part of the Checks and Balances, Inc. services but only one part of it. Payroll companies/services process payroll but do not assume employer responsibility and/or liability, nor provide the other benefits. Checks and Balances, Inc. protects your business, not just processes a payroll.
